The Weekend
Written by Jason Raitz on 10:21 AMI have been looking forward to this weekend for a few weeks.
Not because of Valentines Day...but, I do need to get my Valentines something! I have 3 girls in my house now...Man, thanks Hallmark!
Not because it snowed last night. Heck NO! I hate the snow! I don't hate much, but Snow...Ice...Cold are my top three. And of course...poverty...racism...global warming...etc.
..."Man, why can't people pick up their trash...I don't want the polar bears to die"
Ok, don't know where that came from...but I guess pollution in a Target parking lot will cause polar bears to die.
Anyways...back to this weekend.
I am looking forward to it because my parents are coming out to visit. We miss both sets of parents and I love that they are able to visit us. I work weekends, so it's hard to go in and visit them. And...Tracie's parents really can't travel because of Bryan (their son with severe cp and a whole heap of medical issues).
So, my folks are coming and I can't wait. I love talking with my parents and I love spending time with them. Our house is still a disaster and knowing my mom, she will help organize and she will get my dad to build stuff, hang pictures and move stuff around.
We are also celebrating all the Raitz girls birthdays tomorrow night and that will be fun. Tracie's 32nd birthday was on Jan. 12th and we didn't do anything because my parents were coming out the next weekend and we were going to do it then. Well, with the fire, we just didn't do anything. So, I can't wait. I haven't been able to get her a gift in years and I was able to this year and I can't wait!!! Madison turned 1 last week and Bekah will turn 9 next weekend. 9 years old! Can't believe. I am two and a half years away from her being in Elevate. I can't wait and I can!
Also...I am teaching tonight at Elevate. We are in week 2 of our Burly Girly series. Scott is taking the 8th graders and I am taking the 6th & 7th graders. My title is..."How to be attractive without looking good" and my big idea is...It's not about how you look, it's about how you live. All about pursuing purity instead of pursuing dating and all that stuff.
So, that will be fun and I am looking forward to spending time with my small group...the beef
jerkey's. I was in Tulsa last Saturday night and I missed them.Alright, time to go home and clean & organize.
Yeah!!
PS...I actually like cleaning...I am weird.
